Suukala means "sweet" in the Wayuu dialect, making it the perfect name for this beautifully balanced coffee. Grown in Toribio, Cauca, by the SICEET association—an indigenous community of 218 dedicated farmers—this coffee is crafted with care for both people and the planet. Since 2011, SICEET has been supporting local farmers, improving livelihoods, and protecting the environment.

With support from the NASA project and environmental economic councils, SICEET is committed to sustainable farming. By 2019, members had developed an agroforestry system that blends traditional knowledge with modern practices, ensuring food security and a balanced ecosystem.

Every step of Suukala’s journey is handled with precision to bring out its rich flavours. Farmers use small pulping machines to process the cherries before a 12-16 hour dry fermentation in tiled tanks. The beans are then carefully dried for 7-10 days in parabolic tents on raised beds, locking in their unique taste.

With 55 Rainforest Alliance-certified growers, SICEET ensures that every cup of Suukala is produced responsibly. Enjoy a sip of this exceptional coffee—full of cacao, brown sugar sweetness, and a bright lemony acidity, all wrapped in delicate floral notes.
